“The Sensei” takes place in the early 80′s, during the beginning of the AIDS epidemic. After a five year absence, Karen O’Neil, haunted by the death of her husband-to-be, boxer Mark Corey, returns to … read more  her hometown to reunite with her family who are leaders within their church and operate a successful martial arts business. After a lonely gay teenager named McClain Evans is severely beaten, his mother asks Karen to take McClain as her secret pupil and teach him the martial way. When the secret gets out that she’s his teacher, this manifest a series of events that affect her and her family.

THE SENSEI is truly an emotional drama that truly needs to be seen!

Produced in 2008, the movie tells a story that is as relevant today as it was in the 80’s!

Bring your friends and help us fill the house!

Proceeds from this event will help us continue our important services for people living with AIDS.

Through the Looking Glass

Monday, November 1st, 2010

Any way you look at it the 3rd Annual Halloween Ball and Auction “Through the Looking Glass” was a great success!

All of us at AHAT want to thank you for your part in making this all happen.  With the great support of our sponsors and the many contributors of auction items, we provided our guests with some fantastic opportunities to bid and enjoy an evening of fun, good food and good fellowship.

Our thanks also go to the generous bidders who made those contributions increase in value and help us raise over $25,000.00 to help support the good work of AIDS Housing. None of this could have been done without your support.

Please be assured that your contribution will be greatly appreciated by those we serve day after day and will make a significant difference in their journey toward a future of hope, greater self-sufficiency and more independent housing.

Thanks again!

We hope you will join us next year!
